2007 House Bill 4077 (Revise new sewer hookup mandate )

  • Introduced by Rep. Marty Knollenberg on January 22, 2007, to authorize certain cities (Troy in particular) to allow a person required to connect their dwelling to an available public sewer line to not connect for as long as an existing septic system is operating satisfactorily. Under current state law, a person must connect to a new sewer line in a city, village, or township within 18 months of its installation.

Our City says the Health Department has the jurisdiction of all septics. The local Heath Department states the city has the jurisdiction of septics. Who will condem?
